No.5 Front Surface Mouth Mirror, Simple Stem EU

In a front-surface mirror the rhodium reflective layer is applied to the top of the glass, so light is reflected once, at the surface, instead of travelling through the glass and back. The result is a single sharp image without the faint secondary reflection of a plain rear-surface head, which is what you want when judging margins, caries or fine surface detail rather than simply getting a general look. The 24mm No.5 is the middle size, balancing field of view against clearance behind the molars. Because the coating sits on the exposed surface it is more delicate than silvering behind the glass, so avoid abrasive cleaning and replace the head if it shows pitting or scratches. Simple stem with European metric thread, supplied 12 heads per box.
